Omaha and Home

On our way home to Idaho were drove 19 hours the first day to Council Bluffs, we had reserved a room at the Motel 6. We got there at about midnight and the front desk lady had given our room to someone else! They had nothing available. We were beyond angry and exhausted. We tried every hotel and they were all booked due to a band being in town. We could not believe it and it was almost 1 am. Finally we found a room at Motel West, oh wow what a gross place! It was so dirty, the ac barely worked and was so loud, the mattresses and blankets were disgusting. By the time we got to bed it was 2am and Kate woke up at 7. We were so glad to leave there and were able to get 2 free night stays out of the Motel 6 for the mix up. On to Omaha! We were so excited to visit our old home and wonderful friends the Becks and Springers. Dan made us his famous pancake breakfast and it was so great to be able to visit with him and Mary and their kids. It was fun to let the kids play on their old playground and being back at Village Green. We went on our way to Motel 6 in western Nebraska where Jane had her horrible accident. She pulled the table down on top of the bridge of her nose. It was awful, she bled so much and swelled instantly. We were in the middle of nowhere and it was 9 at night. I was so afraid she could have internal damage or fall asleep and not wake up. Dad gave her a blessing and she was able to sleep and woke up the next morning looking so awful and we had 12 hours to go till home. The kids did great and were exhausted, we were so excited to be home and done traveling.
