Summer trip to Idaho

We had such a fun trip to Idaho! We left July 29th, at 4 am so it was cool outside. Mack and Molly did really well, we were out of Nebraska and into Wyoming by the afternoon, hooray for dry air so we didn't sweat!!! We had a fun 17 1/2 hour drive there although it ended with Mack throwing up 5 minutes from Devin's parents house. We surprised his family by arriving two days early, Ethan knew so we could get in while the rest were in Sun Valley. So at 10pm we got our necessary luggage in for the night and bathed Mack who was covered in throw up and had to get the car seat taken care of and cleaned. We slept well that night and surprised everyone the next day, it was really fun! We also got to see Aunt Katie and Uncle Chris and Uncle Billy and Aunt Bridget! It was so fun to have them there as well and spend so much time with them! The kids were in heaven with all these aunts and uncles and grandpa and grandma to give them lots of attentionMack loved riding the lawnmower with grandpa. Many times during the stay we found that he had snuck out of the house and was just sitting on the mower.
Mack and Molly just loved everyone, here is Grandpa Thompson.

Aunt Abbie. She was Molly's roommate until Molly threw up spaghetti o's one night. It was so sad, Abbie went in her room around 1opm to the horrid smell and came and got me. We found Molly lying in her dinner. It was stuck in her hair and all over her face. She was so tired, we bathed her and then rebathed her and washed her hair 7 times to get the smell out. She ended up having a flu bug and threw up a few more times that night. Poor thing!

Uncle Landon. He was gone at camp during part of our stay and Mack noticed, he was looking for "Lannon".

They sure love their daddy!

Love my girl.

Aunt Katie, their second mother. She was such a help to me and takes such good care of these cute kiddos. They just love her! She was able to stay with us for about a week and then went camping with us too!

Uncle Billy. Molly took to him and loved playing with him. It was really sweet.

One of my favorite pictures! I think they look alike in this picture.

We all went to dinner at one of our favorites, Johnny Carinos! Delicious. Molly loved her raspberries from Grandpa's garden.

I got to see my roommate, Marissa Swearingen from 10 years ago!!! She now has 5 boys, she is holding Teagan. We had such a fun visit at Leo's place where the boys could play and we could visit for 4 hours! It was so nice of them to drive up from Twin Falls. We are excited to move back and spend more time with them.

We threw a surprise party for Rex. He and Lynne were coming home from Utah on his birthday so we had a part waiting for him as he turned down the street! It was a fun surprise for him and fun for us!

Rex got a metal detector and was so excited and surprised when he finally figured out what kind it was!

Mack LOVES to make dough and cookies so he was so excited when Aunt Katie made them with him, he got a little too excited and turned the mixer on high and had a nice splash of flour!

Makin Dough

One of Mack's favorite things was to go out on the trampoline. I think everyone had a turn taking him. Here is Uncle Chris with him, he was so fun for Mack to play with and took such good care of him! He loves his Uncle Chris.

Aunt Sara and Uncle Tyson came up from Texas for a few days. Here is Porter with Molly, he is only 4 months older than her!! He is such a fun boy.

Mack and Makayla, 2 weeks apart in age. They had some fun times together!

Aunt Bridget and Miss Molly. It was so fun to be able to spend time with them, they love their Aunt B.

Porty Pie stealing Molly's food, she eventually just started offering it hahaha. They were so cute to watch.

Devin getting aproned up to grill some burgers! It was really cute on him.

Mack and Makayla rocking on Grandma's porch.

Molly girl with her Uncle Chris.

The trio, Makayla, Porter and Mack.

Mack had an obsession to say the least, of sitting in the cars in the garage. He would tell people "car" every 5 minutes! When he was out there he would know just what to do, where to put the keys, turn it on, pushed ALL the buttons he could and would say he is taking you to get ice cream or pizza. He did this while we were camping to and continues to do it since being home.

Mack and his grandma. She would say "do you love your grandma?" and he would then say " Sure do!" It is really cute and will do it now if you ask do you love and say anyone name. It is really sweet!

All the Thompson grandkids minus Sara's baby girl due October 30th.

We had such a wonderful trip. Saw a lot of family on both sides and did so many fun things! We look forward to our next trip. The drive back we were able to go down through Kaysville and see Grandma and Grandpa Hyer. The drive home was not as nice as it got hot when we entered Nebraska so we stopped at Perkins for dinner to give the kids a break. Once back in the car after about 10 minutes Mack says his stomach hurt so I quickly found a plastic bag and he threw up half in it and half all over himself. We pulled over, there was a storm brewing with high winds and both kids were screaming! We got Mack out, cleaned him up and the car seat the best we could. The hail came down pounding the car and heavy heavy rain just minutes afterward!!! We saw a beautiful double rainbow, end to end and the check engine light started flashing with 5 hours to go!!! We made it in at 1:15 am, Mack cried as soon as we pulled in to go back to Grandpa and Grandma's. The house was hot from being shut up for 2 weeks, so we cranked on the AC and got the kids to bed by 2am. We were beat! What a trip.
